Facing a cultural evolution in basketball and an opportunity to connect with a new generation of fans, I led a transformative brand refresh for the Spurs to redefine its relationship with culture and its ubiquity in the NBA. Through a fully integrated approach of strategy, visual identity, and voice, we launched a reimagined Spurs brand that extended beyond performance to embrace the lifestyle of fans and the broader cultural fabric surrounding the sport.
This new evergreen identity transcends time as an omnipresent, scalable system that lives seamlessly across digital and physical platforms. Expanding the totality of the Spurs experience, it connects how the team shows up in community, in culture, and organically into everyday life. This brand architecture unified campaigns, content, retail, product, partnerships, and global events under one cohesive system, while remaining flexible enough to adapt to evolving channels and audience engagement behaviors.
Built for scale and designed to evolve, the visual system evolved into a contemporary yet timeless framework that functions as a true brand language rather than a seasonal campaign look. Flexible in application, it enabled faster execution, sharper storytelling, and a unified fan experience. Confident typography and cinematic composition established depth and permanence, while texture and tonal warmth introduced intimacy and emotion. Verbally, the brand voice mirrored this approach — confident but never loud for the sake of noise and culturally fluent without trend-chasing.
Content shifted from being purely performance-driven to storytelling-led, capturing the full 24 hours of a day, not just the 48 minutes of a game. The Spurs brand shifted from transactional moments to relational connections with fans across every touchpoint. Created to endure. Created to scale. Created for what’s next.

Silver is back. The Spurs Statement Uniform reintroduces the franchise’s iconic silver in a bold yet refined evolution. With “San Antonio” replacing “Spurs” across the chest as a tribute to the city that defines the franchise, the uniform honors tradition while modernizing it through nuanced textures, tonal depth, and a subtle integration of the rowel throughout the design. Leading creative direction for the uniform design and launch campaign, featuring 2025 NBA Rookie of the Year Stephon Castle as the face of this new chapter, the Statement Uniform is a symbol of a future-forward Spurs brand where heritage and progression move as one.
