Played before tip-off, the Open Video is a cinematic table-setter. A manifesto for the season, designed to set tone, tempo, and expectations. More than highlight reels and beauty shots, they function as a theatrical play in 3 acts, blending performance and visual storytelling into a moment of anticipation. The narrative changes annually, treating each season as its own original piece, concepted to feel distinct and unforgettable.

My approach begins with developing a story-led concept grounded in references from art history and music videos to graphic design and contemporary photography. Moving beyond predictable sports open tropes, we reject gladiator poses and in-camera shouts in favor of crafted portraiture and symbolic world-building. This direction allows for creativity to flourish, positioning the team as one, connecting the brand to the lifestyle beyond the game itself.

Each athlete is framed through intentional composition, lighting, and pacing, captured in portrait-driven sequences that spotlight individuality, presence, and performance style. The camera moves with purpose, allowing texture and expression to carry the visual performance. Post-production is where the rhythm comes to life, giving structure to each act and shaping the arc from the first frame to the final crescendo. Whether staged on a single sculptural set or across multiple environments, every production is engineered to push creative boundaries.
