Uniting the City of Brotherly Love Through Basketball.

Philadephia 76ers

Unveiled during the uncertainty of the COVID-19 era, the “Here They Come” and “Summer of 7.6” campaigns reignited energy around the Philadelphia 76ers as the team pursued a championship run inside the 2020 NBA Bubble. With arenas empty and the season unfolding in isolation, the creative challenge was to maintain the emotional intensity of Philadelphia basketball while connecting with fans watching from afar. The campaigns reframed the moment as a rallying cry, reminding the city that even without a crowd, the spirit of the Sixers never left the floor.

Drawing inspiration from the bold art, music, and optimistic aesthetics of the 1970s, the work paid homage to the franchise’s disco-era ABA roots and its beloved Here They Come anthem. Vibrant color palettes, retro typography, and sun-drenched visuals echoed both the era’s design language and the unexpected setting of Orlando. The result blended nostalgia with contemporary storytelling, connecting generations of fans through a visual identity that felt celebratory, rhythmic, and unmistakably Philadelphia.

Across broadcast, digital, and social platforms, the campaigns gave fans a shared identity during one of the most unusual seasons in league history. Here They Come evolved from a throwback reference into a modern-day chant, an anthem that captured the relentless pride and resilience of Sixers basketball. Through campaign films, graphics, and real-time content, the message remained clear: in a season defined by distance, reminding fans everywhere that when the Sixers take the floor, here they come.
