Fiesta

Reviving an era that helped define Spurs fandom and the celebratory spirit of San Antonio, the Fiesta City Edition uniform stands as a living cultural statement. It became a fully realized extension of the San Antonio Spurs brand. Rather than defaulting to familiar NBA franchise tropes, we developed a comprehensive visual system connecting the team to its vibrant past.

The Fiesta identity delivers an expressive energy and scalable brand language that spans campaigns, content, retail, broadcast, and game days. Drawing from late ’80s and early ’90s pop culture, this design system captured the era’s bold optimism through expressive typography, an alternative logo treatment, and a vibrant palette inspired by the iconic sunsets of South Central Texas, grounding it in place as much as culture.

Across three seasons, the uniform progressed through distinct versions, each capturing the spirit of the era while expanding the story and enriching the design language to deliver a bold, unmistakable identity. A black base in 2020–21, white in 2021–22, and teal in 2022–23. For the 2025–26 season, the black-base Fiesta edition was reintroduced, along with a new court design, since its premiere during the COVID-affected 2020–21 season limited fans’ opportunity to experience it live and in person.
