Capsule collections became a creative platform, an extension of brand storytelling, designed to bring lifestyle relevance to the Spurs brand and give fans something they genuinely wanted to wear. Beyond the merchandise itself, we shaped the creative direction across campaign photography, storytelling, and launch content to redefine what NBA team apparel could represent. The collections gave fans, die-hard and casuals alike, the ability to wear their passion on thier sleeve – for the Spurs, for sport, for the city. We built narratives rooted in pride and place.

Leading the creative direction, my team developed a series of capsule collections designed to bring lifestyle relevance to the Spurs brand and give fans something they genuinely wanted to wear. Each collection infused sport and culture, pulling from local and regional references for authentic details to create pieces that felt connected to the city and its communities. Beyond the merch itself, we shaped the creative direction across campaign photography, storytelling, and launch content to redefine what NBA team apparel could represent.

Over several seasons, we developed and led four capsule collections, including Por Vida, two distinct iterations of La Cultura, and a collaboration with Ebbets Field. From workwear-inspired pieces produced on Dickies for Por Vida to La Cultura’s references to Tejano music, neighborhood iconography, Mexican textiles, flea markets, and native landscapes, every detail reflected the rhythms of life in South Central Texas. Prior work in this space also included player-exclusive collections, collaborations with Siegelman Stable and Sneaker Politics, and custom player apparel developed for media day and league initiatives with the NBPA.
